Short videos that show their sources.
Serious Shorts is a small independent studio. We research, script and produce short vertical explainer videos for YouTube Shorts: where internet memes come from, and how big things really are. Every factual claim is sourced, and every AI-assisted visual or voice is labelled.

Откуда мем
Where a meme came from: the first post, the date, and how it spread. A cut-and-paste zine look, 30-45 seconds per story.

The universe, measured. Sizes, distances and numbers you can feel, drawn like plates from an observatory archive.
youtube.com/@scale_archiveHow we work
- Sources first. Each video starts from primary sources and reputable outlets. Every on-screen claim traces to a source listed in the video description.
- Labelled AI. We use AI tools for illustrations and synthetic narration. Videos carry YouTube's altered or synthetic content disclosure, and descriptions say what was generated.
- No impersonation. We never clone a real person's voice, put new words in a real person's mouth, or create realistic footage of real events.
- Quotes with credit. When a story is about a specific video or song, we may show a short excerpt (a few seconds) for commentary, always credited and linked.
- Corrections. If we got something wrong, write to us; we correct the description and pin the correction.
Our tools and the YouTube API
We run a private, single-operator tool, the Serious Shorts uploader, on our own computer. It uploads videos we produced to our own YouTube channels, schedules them, posts and moderates comments on our own videos, and reads our own channels' statistics. It is not offered to anyone else and has no other users.
The tool uses YouTube API Services. See the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. How the tool handles Google user data is described in our Privacy Policy.
